Will Searle is the Conservative candidate for Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart Ward.

This is what he told The Reporter about himself:- Will Searle, 28, was born in Edinburgh, grew up in North Berwick and has lived in the city for the last 9 years since coming to study Biological Sciences at Edinburgh University.

For the past four and a half years Will has been working behind the scenes supporting local Conservative councillors across the South West and West of the city. It has been a massive learning curve to take over from Gordon Buchan but with Gordon’s help and the support of former Craiglockhart Councillor, George Hunter, Will has been getting out across the area to meet as many local residents as possible.

Through working with conscientious Conservative councillors, Will decided to seek election from seeing the incredible work done locally by them. Since being selected by local members, Will has been out speaking to local residents and helping them with the issues that concern them. Whether it is local issues or city wide, Will has been working hard on behalf of local people.

In his spare time, Will is a keen (though somewhat slow!) runner, singer, DJ and regular platelet donor. He has been involved in numerous theatre productions both on and off the stage, the highlight of which was a Fringe production of The Pirates of Penzance that he produced and which raised over £2600 for the Sick Kids Hospital.
