Tom Strode is the Liberal Party in Scotland candidate for Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart Ward.
He told The Reporter:-“I’m Tom Strode 22 years old, Studying Event and Festival Management at Edinburgh Napier University. I’m from Somerset originally and chose to come to Edinburgh after enjoying the last 4 Hogmanay’s here whilst collecting money, voluntarily, for Cancer Research UK and Kidscan. I’m an award winning, voluntary, charity collector and have done this for the last 7 years.
I have worked for and in volunteering most of my life whilst holding down different jobs from Movie actor in Hot Fuzz (2007) to being a chocolate truffle maker. I love Scotland. It’s a progressive, ever changing, society full of life with a healthy community. There are lots of students here and my goal, if elected, is to help students integrate more into the community and for us all to work together and for Edinburgh not to be seen as a place where we go to University – but for this beautiful place to be seen as home, where the heart is.”
