Edinburgh ladies are invited to throw on their frocks and join a leading children’s charity for a chic afternoon of fun, food and fashion in aid of vulnerable children in Scotland.

NSPCC Scotland will host Cupcake Couture at the city’s beautiful Merchants’ Hall on November 19, 2011 from 2 – 5pm in aid of its ChildLine service.

The stylish afternoon will include cupcakes and cocktails as well as a fashion show featuring collections from some of Edinburgh’s top boutiques, such as Kakao by K, Goodstead, handbags by Xchange and handbags and jewelry by Arabesque. There will also be beauty and fashion stalls and an auction where people can bid on some girly goodies.

The day is billed as an ideal opportunity to get in some Christmas shopping or have a pre-Christmas day out with friends.

Susie Barron, NSPCC Scotland community fundraising manager, said: “This is set to be a glamorous afternoon for all ladies who like to indulge a little with their friends. We recommend getting dressed up and spreading the word as this will be the ultimate ladies day out. The money raised will help ChildLine continue to be there for the thousands of children who contact the service everyday.”

Tickets cost £35 and can be purchased by contacting the Scotland fundraising team on 0844 892 0212 or by emailing scotlandevents@nspcc.org.uk
