news-screen-16-09-10-First-movieThe supported documentary, The First Movie, nominated for awards by the Royal Television Society, One World Media and submitted for an International Emmy, is opening in October throughout the UK and will be shown at The Cameo on 15th October.

The First Movie charts the journey made by film critic Mark Cousins to a village in Northern Iraq. Cousins gave each of the village children Flip cameras, after which they recorded a range of startling scenes from everyday life that were compiled into a documentary.

The First Movie opens UK-wide in October. It is co-supported by Creative Scotland, CONNECTfilm, City Screen, More 4, Film Club, Film Education, and the European Commission UK.
