One of the most lauded and legendary singers has been brought back to life in a new show coming to the Playhouse.
‘Buddy Holly – A Legend Reborn’ is a spectacular live production bringing to life classic hits such as ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘That’ll Be The Day’ and ‘Oh Boy’.
Fresh from a smash hit performance at London’s O2, starring Marc Robinson and backed by a live band, the show is billed as an authentic slice of rock’n’roll nostalgia.
Show producer Michael Taylor said: “The support acts on the show’s national tour are never the same two nights running, so it’s a testament to the musicianship of the production’s talented band that they can adapt to whichever artist that may feature.
“They’re no note readers, they’re true rock’n’roll musicians with an immense repertoire.”
Headliner Marc is a Stars in Their Eyes winner and is joined by fellow winners of the legendary TV show the Fortt Brothers – Britain’s number one live Everly Brothers tribute.
And the evening’s compere, Jaymz Denning, is a star of the West End having appeared in ‘Buddy’, ‘Sister Act’ and ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.
The show is taking place next Friday (October 8).
