The City of Edinburgh area has 43 community councils. There are 46 areas so some vacancies still exist.
The minutes for all the community councils should be available from the City Council web page which you can access here.
Unfortunately they are not up to date in every case.
We highlight for example the Marchmont & Sciennes Community Council where the last minutes lodged on the City Council site are dated November 2009. We know they have had meetings since then – so why don’t they tell us about it in the same place as every other council?
The great majority have a website. We list the addresses for you below.
The New Town and Broughton Community Council website looks lovely. But it gives no information about the date and time of the next meeting, nor does it tell you exactly what has been discussed. In fact clicking on some of the links just takes you back to the home page……
Stockbridge & Inverleith CC has a website too which has a good user friendly look to it, but the news is a couple of months old in many cases, and does not tell us when or where they will next meet.
