The panto at the King’s has been nominated as best Panto in the UK.
Stars, Allan Stewart and Grant Stott, have been nominated as best dame and villain, and Rory Beaton named as the person responsible for the Best Lighting nomination.
Grant Stott was nominated for Best Villain in last year’s Jack and the Beanstalk, and Allan Stewart is named in the Best Dame category.
The pantomime is an annual highlight in Edinburgh and has been staged at the Festival Theatre during the closure of the King’s on Lothian Road for refurbishment. That will all change as the King’s is opening again in the summer and the pantomime cast have all said how much they are looking forward to getting back home.
This applies especially to Allan who has said before that the stage at the Festival Theatre is so much wider than the one at the King’s that he is worn out running backwards and forwards.
The show is also nominated in the Best Pantomime over 950 seats category along with others from Sheffield, Aylesbury, Tunbridge Wells and Wolverhampton.

I’m so proud that The Pantomime Awards 2026 will celebrate this wonderful artform and their fifth anniversary at the Wycombe Swan in April.”

The results will be announced on 19 April.
