A successful weekend of competition at Curl Edinburgh saw the International Seniors events won by Team Lockhart for the women and Team Mundell among the men.
Some 16 men’s teams and six women’s teams competed to qualify for the semi-finals with competitors travelling from Canada, Switzerland, Ireland and England as well as all the Scottish teams.
Team Fyfe (Ireland) lost out to team Wuest (Switzerland) and team Gormley lost out to team Mundell in the men’s semi finals.
In the women’s event, team Lockhart and team Kennedy finished in the top two spots after the round robin stage and qualified for the final.
Despite a good start by team Lockhart, the final ended up very close after a great comeback by team Kennedy. However, team Lockhart emerged victorious after a score of three in the seventh end.
In the men’s final it went to an extra (ninth) end with team Mundell drawing the final shot into the house for the win.
