Hibs midfielder Miguel Chaiwa insists the squad are fully focused on bouncing back this weekend as they prepare for a tough trip to play Livingston in the William Hill Premiership.
Hibs go into the game off the back of a narrow defeat to Rangers in midweek, losing 1-0 at Easter Road.
That result meant Hibs dropped to fourth in the table, however, Chaiwa is confident that the team can get back to winning ways quickly this weekend.
Ahead of the game he told hibernianfc.co.uk:“We are disappointed to lose at home, and looking back at the game – we had a lot of chances to score, but we didn’t take them, that is the main frustration.
“For us, we won’t let that result affect us – that is football at the end of the day, you have to take your chances. All full focus is now on Livingston at the weekend.”
This will be Hibs third meeting with David Martindale’s side this season, winning 2-0 away in the Premier Sports Cup in August, before winning 4-0 at Easter Road a fortnight ago.
Despite those results, the fans favourite insists the player need to be at their best to make sure they get another positive result.
“They are a good side, they have a challenging pitch and we know it will be a difficult test. The way they play, we know we won’t get a lot of time on the ball, so we need to make sure that we maintain our focus, concentration and really fight for three points.
“This game is very important for us. We are going there to sit and watch them play, we will compete with them, take the game to them and play to our standards.”
