A total of 76 new homes are to be delivered in the Midlothian village of Danderhall as housebuilder St. Modwen Homes launches its first Scottish development.
Located nine miles from Edinburgh, the site at Shawfair will offer a mix of three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached homes, alongside four and five-bedroom detached properties.
The Home Buyer Hub is now open, allowing prospective buyers to view the plans ahead of the first properties being released for sale in September 2026.
The properties are designed to be energy-efficient and feature open-plan layouts with large windows.
Buyers will also be able to select from a range of pre-determined kitchen and bathroom combinations.
Work on the site is currently underway, and the first buyers are expected to move in by November.
A five-bedroom showhome is scheduled to launch on 12 September 2026.
The Shawfair development is situated near Edinburgh city centre, with access to local transport links including Shawfair Station and the A1.
The surrounding area also includes access to beaches, woodland walks and cycle paths.

The site is located at Newton Church Road, Danderhall.
