The St James Quarter has announced a series of live music and events just in time for the city’s summer festivals.
The shopping centre will host a series of free busking performances, intimate ticketed gigs, and themed cinema screenings throughout August.
The b-EAT Lounge will feature emerging Scottish artists hosted by broadcaster Vic Galloway, while the wider venue highlights its diverse dining options to attract visitors during the busy Fringe season.
The shopping and leisure destination will host over 30 free live performances across its Galleria. The busking programme has been curated in partnership with live music booking platform GigPig, showcasing talent across genres including indie, jazz, folk, and rap.
Continuing its commitment to emerging talent, the b-EAT Lounge will present evenings of music and conversation at the Everyman Edinburgh cinema.

The events will be hosted by radio and television presenter Vic Galloway, whilst the lineup includes Fright Years, Her Picture, Waverley, Midnight Ambulance, James Emmanuel, Becky Sikasa, India Blue, and Kai Reesu, who won the 2025 Scottish Album of the Year at the SAY Awards.
Tickets for the intimate gigs are priced at £10 and include a complimentary drink on arrival.
Elsewhere in the complex, Everyman Edinburgh will run a season of themed music screenings, while The Alchemist bar will host a schedule of Fringe comedy shows from 7 to 31 August.
The summer programme also highlights the quarter’s food and drink offering, which includes restaurants such as Duck & Waffle, Ka Pao, and the Bonnie and Wild food hall, featuring new additions Tacos Lah and Flùr.
Susan Hewlett, Brand and Marketing Director, said: “Summer in Edinburgh is unlike anywhere else, and we’re excited to be bringing that energy into St James Quarter this August.
“Whether it’s discovering a new local artist, catching an intimate live performance, or enjoying great food and drinks with friends and family, we’ve created a programme that gives people even more reasons to spend time together at the Quarter.
“Supporting emerging talent is something we’re passionate about, and we’re proud to provide a platform for musicians through our busking programme in partnership with GigPig and b-EAT Lounge events.
“With the city buzzing during Fringe season, we’re looking forward to welcoming guests and being part of what makes Edinburgh so special at this time of year.”
