Scotland’s women’s hockey head coach, Chris Duncan, looks forward to another testing game against the well-organised and hard-working Indian under-21 side at The University of Edinburgh Playing Fields on Monday evening.
The 3-2 success in the opening game on Sunday proved beneficial for the backroom staff who were pleased to see the squad back in competitive action again since the World Cup qualifiers.
Duncan said that at times during Sunday’s game the players showed some good hockey but at other times the players looked a little rusty and disjointed.
He hopes that the run-out in the rain on Sunday will help bring elements together .
The Lothians-based coach wants the players to be more fluid in “an attacking perspective” and added: “We need to find the rhythm we are looking for and we will look to build and sharpen up in our defensive standards.”
