Police recently carried out routine patrols in response to ongoing anti-social vehicle related behaviour at Hawes Pier, South Queensferry.
The initiative took place between 5pm and 3am on Friday 10 July and Monday July 13.
In total 127 vehicles were checked on police systems during these patrols.
One driver was found not to have relevant insurance and was cautioned and charged.
Additionally, whilst on patrol on Tuesday 13th July, officers came across a convoy of vehicles travelling at speed on Hawes Brae.
One driver made off at speed and in a dangerous manner towards the A90.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were quick to carry out enquiry resulting on a knock at the driver’s door a short time later where they were cautioned and charged with failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
“Having only had their licence for a couple of months, a report will be sent to the courts, and the individual may likely have to acquaint themselves with public transport in the future.”
