Edinburgh fitness enthusiasts can secure a gym membership for £5 as fitness giant JD Gyms prepares to open a brand-new 24-hour facility in Chesser.
The new club, located at Edinburgh West Retail Park, is scheduled to open later this year. To celebrate the launch, managers have released 200 early-bird memberships offering the first month for just £5, before transitioning to a contract-free rate of £26.99 per month.
The facility will feature a massive free-weights area, plate-loaded Hammer Strength machines, specialized lifting platforms, and Matrix cardio equipment.
The site will also include luxury changing rooms equipped with separate male and female saunas, alongside two and a half hours of free parking for visitors.
Lee Matthews, chief operating officer at the firm, welcomed the expansion into the capital’s western suburbs.
Lee said: “We are excited to open our doors in Chesser and bring our experience to the area. We have invested heavily to create a fantastic facility that offers premium equipment, great fitness spaces and outstanding value for money.”
The launch comes amid a 311% surge in regional online searches for local Edinburgh gyms over the past three months, reflecting a strong city-wide demand for flexible, round-the-clock training spaces.
