A bluegrass take on Shakespeare’s Macbeth is returning to the Fringe next month.
New Zealand company The Barden Party will bring Macbeth: Blood and Bluegrass to The Grand Theatre at theSpace at Surgeons’ Hall from August 7 to 29.
The 85-minute production combines Shakespeare’s tragedy with live Americana and bluegrass music, including arrangements of songs associated with Dolly Parton, Mumford and Sons and The SteelDrivers.
The company first brought the show to the Fringe last year and will also tour Scotland following its Edinburgh run.
