This August, House of Oz returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with its most ambitious season yet – an extraordinary celebration of Australian creativity spanning circus, theatre, dance, comedy, music, immersive experiences and First Nations storytelling.
Now in its fifth year at Edinburgh, House of Oz has become one of the festival’s essential destinations, championing Australian artists and connecting them with international audiences, presenters, producers and touring opportunities.
What began as a bold vision to create a home for Australian artists at the world’s largest arts festival has grown into a powerful platform for cultural exchange and career transformation.
This year’s program features eight outstanding productions across eight venues and more than 260 performances, showcasing the depth, diversity and confidence of contemporary Australian culture.
Audiences can experience the internationally acclaimed acrobatics of Ten Thousand Hours by Gravity & Other Myths, Joel Bray’s provocative and personal First Nations work Daddy, the cutting-edge virtual reality experience Concerts of the Future, the emotionally resonant contemporary dance work Glass Child, and the anarchic family comedy brilliance of The Listies. The season includes House of Oz Purse Prize winners How Not to Make it in America and Birds, helping launch the next generation of Australian artists onto the world stage.
