The latest exhibit at the visitor attraction on Castlehill, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, relates to the World Cup, and reflects the national hope that Scotland will be a big success in the USA.

The Giant Kaleidoscope is now transformed into a celebration of football repeating the visual spectacle thousands of times within the mirrored box.

The installation will celebrate Scotland’s entry into the FIFA World Cup and is only available as long as Scotland stays in contention.

Rosie Corbett put on a Scotland football kit and posed inside the kaleidoscope capturing some of the excitement.

Andrew Johnson, General Manager of Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, said: “Everyone in Scotland remembers where they were when the national team qualified for a major tournament, and reaching the World Cup is something truly special. We wanted to mark the occasion in a way that only Camera Obscura could.”

“The Giant Kaleidosphere is one of our most unique exhibits, and seeing this specially created World Cup design reflected thousands of times creates a spectacular effect. It’s our way of showing support for Scotland and giving visitors a fun and memorable experience during the tournament.”

“We’re all hoping Scotland can go deep into the competition because the longer they stay in the World Cup, the longer this special installation will remain on display.”

The World Cup themed installation is now in place and will remain on display while Scotland takes part in the FIFA World Cup.
