Police are seeking help from the public to locate a vulnerable 58-year-old man missing from Edinburgh.

Paul Robertson was last seen on Blinkbonny Road, Currie around 3.30pm on Tuesday, 2 June, 2026.

He is white, around 5 ft 8 inches in height, with a slim build and short, brown hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue polo shirt and brown chinos.

Extensive enquiries are under way to locate Paul with officers checking relevant CCTV images for any additional information.

Inspector Gavin McNeill said: “Paul’s family and friends have been trying to contact him today but no-one has heard back from him and they are understandably concerned. He is usually in touch with them and not to respond is very out of character.

“Paul may be heading to the Pentland Hills area and enjoys visiting the Harlaw Reservoir area so I would ask members of the public using that area to be aware of Paul’s image and keep a look out for him.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1963 of Tuesday, 2 June, 2026.

Police Scotland update 3 June 2026: “Paul Robertson, who was reporting missing from the Edinburgh area, has been traced.

“Thank you to everyone who shared out appeal.”
