Police in East Lothian have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man in connection with drugs offences after over £200,000 Class A drugs were found in Whitecraig.
As part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs in East Lothian, officers searched an address in the Whitecraig Crescent area on Wednesday, 24 June, 2026.
Quantities of cocaine and heroin were recovered, along with other drugs paraphernalia.
The estimated street value of the drugs found is £201,000.
The man has been charged and is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, 25 June, 2026.
Sergeant Ryan Gilhooly said: “We know that drug misuse and crime is a concern to our local people and we are committed to tackling issues which affects our communities.
“We will continue to pursue those who are involved in dealing these harmful substances, and support those involved in drug misuse alongside our healthcare and social partners.
“Information from the public is vital to help us continue this work and I’d ask anyone with concerns or information about drug crime in their area to report this to us.”
