Edinburgh Athletic Club have credited a return to Meadowbank Stadium after a lengthy period of refurbishment for a first success since 2015 in the Lindsays Trophy event, which rewards prolific entries in their three sponsored winter cross country events – at Cumbernauld, Lanark and Falkirk.
Approaching 100 clubs were represented overall and Edinburgh AC had 211 finishers well ahead of runners-up and defending champions, Giffnock North.
Among those included was the inspirational Steve (pictured), a partially sighted athlete who is also a club coach.
Team GB athlete Megan Keith made the trophy presentation alongside Scott Geekie of Lindsays.
