The gambling market in Great Britain is growing rapidly, with almost half of the population engaging in gambling activities, according to a 2025 UK Gambling Commission study. To build relationships and discuss trends, industry leaders will be convening at various industry events throughout this summer.

A recent networking event held at a golf course in Scotland kicked off the season, with various events lined up for a busy summer, bringing industry experts from the UK and beyond together in London.

Gambling in Great Britain

According to the Gambling Survey for Great Britain (GSGB) for the financial year April 2024 to March 2025, the industry saw a Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) of £16.8 billion, a 7.3% increase from 2024. The online market makes up almost half (46%).

The trend points towards online platforms, with online gambling yield up £900 million to £7.8 billion annually. With 48%, almost half the population engages in gambling, many of whom choose online platforms. These make casino games and betting particularly accessible. To lower entry barriers, platforms offer promotions like playing with bonuses like free spins and prizes.

This growth and the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of the industry make it essential for industry experts to convene regularly to discuss trends, developments, new solutions, and opportunities.

Networking Event in Scotland Kicks Off the Season

Scotland already hosted the first iGaming networking event of the year this April. A leading iGaming turnkey solutions provider held an exclusive golfing and padel event at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, inviting industry experts to connect and discuss business matters while also unwinding and enjoying the beautiful Scottish countryside and competing on the golf course and padel court.

This was not the first iGaming networking event of its kind. Last year, three iGaming solutions providers joined forces to hold a Ryder Cup-style competition. The exclusive, invite-only event saw 36 senior iGaming professionals from the UK, Spain, and Malta compete at a world-renowned golf course in Scotland. Following its success, the event was repeated later that autumn in Rome. It’s therefore not unlikely to return to Scotland in 2026, although the providers are yet to confirm.

While these networking events were reserved for Scotland, the big industry events during the 2026 UK iGaming summer will be held in the British capital London:

EGR B2B Awards, 3 June

The event to kick off the season will be a celebration of the industry: the EGR B2B Awards. This year marks the 17th celebration recognising the companies that shape the iGaming industry and drive its innovation. Taking place at the City Central at the HAC with a stunning view of the capital, it’s the curtain raiser for the whole summer season.

iGaming RegCom, 29–30 June

The iGaming RegCom then kicks off the busy London iGaming Week with a conference bringing together regulators, compliance experts and gaming executives to discuss regulation and compliance within the industry. Reforms, integrity, AML, and responsible gaming are at the centre, ensuring a safe gaming environment for players.

iGaming Club London, 30 June

Offering a natural social end to the iGaming RegCom, the iGaming Club London offers a more intimate, exclusive networking event for affiliates, operators, and B2B providers, where relationships are built and fostered.

iGB L!VE, 1–2 July

This leads right into one of the biggest pillars in the UK’s iGaming calendar: iGB L!VE taking place on 1 and 2 July at the ExCel London. The event ends with a glamorous bang, celebrating the iGBAffiliate Awards at London’s iconic Shard on 2 July, honouring key players who shape the industry.

Scotland kicked off the season with an exclusive golfing and padel event, now all eyes are on London, as the capital takes centre stage to host the five major UK iGaming events of the year. The market is growing, and a packed summer 2026 shows its momentum as industry leaders come together to connect, celebrate, and look ahead.
