The first-ever “King of the Sevens” tournament comes to Edinburgh Accies’ Raeburn Place on Saturday.

Organisers could not have asked for a better finale to a circuit that traditionally has embraced the Borders heartland of the abbreviated game.

Following several outstanding tournament results including three victories the hosts trail Melrose by just seven points at the top of the table with a chance to leapfrog the founders of sevens should they pick up all 10 points on offer for a win and the Greenyards club fail to emerge from the pool round.
