Billed as the “biggest ice hockey series ever to come to the United Kingdom” alumni from North America’s National Hockey League will stage a three match series at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield rink between 20 and 27 April.
Teams will represent the USA and Canada for the Scottish Ice Hockey Cup.
Organisers claim the landmark event will bring together some of the sport’s iconic names for a “showcase of elite talent, fierce rivalry and world class entertainment.”
Built around the matches will be q & a sessions, youth coaching and meet-and-greet opportunities.
Player commitments have still to be finalised by late last year a similar series took place in Australia.
Team USA were led by David Booth with his vice captains Jamie Milam and Jeff Baum.
Booth played over 500 NHL games for teams like Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks.
Team Canada listed Noah Philip, a former Edmonton Oilers prospect.
USA defeated Canada in all three matches.
