Edinburgh PR company, Tartan Silk, has created a new alliance with Four Marketing Agency to ensure the succession to its portfolio of clients.

Since January 2026 Four has integrated Tartan Silk’s clients into its business, adding a mix of Scottish and international brands to its UK-wide client base.

Tartan Silk founder, Martin Hunt, joins Four as an ambassador, remaining an active industry figure and working closely with the leadership team as the agency continues to grow.

CEO Pamela Badham founded Four which delivers integrated public relations, marketing, social media and content-led communications for its clients. The partnership will bring additional depth in brand strategy, reputation management and high-profile events.

Tartan Silk was established by Martin in 1997 and the business has worked with a range of high-profile organisations including The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, The Scotch Whisky Experience, Bonhams Scotland and Harris Tweed Textiles.

Four’s own client portfolio spans the full range of hospitality, retail, education, technology and destination marketing, with clients including Bayne’s the Family Baker, Scottish Bakers, Dynamic Earth, COSMO Restaurant Group, Catalina UK and Destination Plymouth.

Pamela Badham said: “Martin brings an exceptional level of experience and judgement, alongside a genuine love for the craft of PR, media and stakeholder engagement. Anyone who knows him knows he’s a force in this industry, not just for his contacts, but for the relationships he’s built and the way he works. His perspective and network sit naturally alongside Four’s offer and complement the way we work with clients.”

Martin Hunt said: “After nearly 30 years building Tartan Silk, I’m at a stage where I want to spend more time on my own interests and enjoy a better balance, while still staying close to an industry and people I care deeply about. I’ve loved working with Pam and the Four team, we share the same values, standards and ambition for clients, and there’s no one I’d trust more to take this forward.”
