Emergency services are at the scene of an incident following reports of a man with a bladed weapon in the Calder area of Edinburgh.
The area around Cobbinshaw House South has been cordoned off.
Numerous police vehicles and an ambulance can be seen in the vicinity.
A police statement published at 9.20am advised the public to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The public is being advised to avoid the Calder area of Edinburgh following reports of a man with a bladed weapon.
“Police, including firearms officers, are in attendance.”
