Hibs striker Kathleen McGovern scored Scotland’s fifth goal in last night’s victory over Luxembourg in the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers at the Stade Émile Mayrisch, Esch-sur-Alzette
With three minutes remaining McGovern latched onto a Charlotte Newsham lofted pass, taking the ball down beautifully, before finishing past Schlime with the outside of her right foot.
Caroline Weir who started her career with Hibs opened the scoring for the Scots in the 9th minute when she fired the ball into the net at the second attempt.
Clark added a second with a header in the 29th minute.
Weir claimed her second of the night from a free-kick which curled over the wall into the bottom left-hand corner of the net to give the side a 3-0 half time lead.
Weir completed her hat trick in the 62nd minute from close range to make it 4-0 to Melissa Andreatta’s side.
Two minutes later McGovern came off the bench.

SWNT are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they welcome the same opponents to Hampden Park in their first home FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier.
