Borders Book Festival is back this summer for a celebration of life, literature and laughter, all from the idyllic Scottish Borders surroundings of Melrose’s Harmony Garden, nestled next to the town’s ancient abbey, and with the Eildon Hills in sight.
Running this year from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th June, the annual four-day extravaganza – a well-established jewel in the nation’s book festival calendar — hosts more than 100 events, with something for everybody of any age.
Whether your festival tipple is serious political debate, side-splitting comedy, literary royalty or kings and queens of crime fiction, whether it’s cooking and wine-tasting or gardening and yoga, tales of sporting success or relaxation workshops, the Borders Book Festival this June has something to whet all appetites.
