St James Quarter welcomed the Year of the Fire Horse in spectacular style on Saturday, as vibrant Lion Dance performances brought colour, movement and the rhythm of traditional drumming to the heart of Edinburgh.

In partnership with Yee’s Hung Ga Kung Fu Edinburgh, the much-loved procession travelled through the Galleria to Register Square, delighting visitors with a celebration symbolising prosperity, happiness and good fortune for the year ahead.

Throughout the day, guests also enjoyed traditional red envelope giveaways featuring prizes and special offers from brand partners, including St James Quarter gift cards, a £50 Botanist voucher, £20 vouchers for The Real Greek, Moleskine notebooks, Molton Brown treats and calming NEOM experiences – marking Lunar New Year with family-friendly entertainment and exclusive rewards as part of the Quarter’s commitment to celebrating Edinburgh’s diverse cultural calendar.
