You know it’s cold in Edinburgh when the Ross Fountain in Princes Street Gardens freezes over.
And today it did just that, amid temperatures of around minus 3°C.
The fountain was restored in a £1.9 million project completed in 2018, and funded by local businessman, Norman Springford, of Apex Hotels.
The renovation work commissioned by The Ross Development Trust was supported by Edinburgh World Heritage and was undertaken in collaboration with The City of Edinburgh Council. Work started in July 2017 and was undertaken by Wigan-based specialists, Lost Art.
