Mademoiselle Macaron has won Online Bakery Business of the Year at the 2025 British Baker Awards.
Rachel Hanretty the founder of the Leith based business went to London to receive the award from TV presenter, Alex Jones, and Alessandro Crespi, head of Sales at IRCA Group.
The judges said they chose the products for their luxury quality, said that the business was a stand out e-commerce bakery, and that the website is exceptional with a great customer journey coupled with a clean design.
Rached Hanretty, who began this business from a wee shop on Grindlay Street 12 years ago, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive the Online Baker of the Year award. Creating memorable little moments for our customers, powered by our amazing team, has always been at the heart of what we do. Working with everyone from local companies to global brands has been truly inspiring, and we’re so grateful for this recognition”
On e-commerce the brand has customers such as American Express and Selfridges.
