Charlie Miller Hairdressing is celebrating 60 years in business this weekend, marking the success of the small business which grew from one salon to three.
Hairdressers from Charlie himself to others who have learned their trade from apprentice to senior stylist have cared for generations of clients in Edinburgh.
It is 60 years since Charlie and Janet Miller first set up a hairdressing salon in Prestonfield Avenue.
The group has flourished into three salons in the city centre as well as a training academy at Holy Corner. The team of stylists have looked after generations of clients and the company’s deep rooted commitment to care is a constant.
Over six decades, the Charlie Miller family has witnessed life’s big moments – weddings, first haircuts, confidence boosts, reinventions – and they take pride in being a trusted part of their clients’ stories.
Many members of the team have built lifelong careers with the company, reflecting a culture where kindness, creativity, and respect sit at the heart of the brand.
