Hibs striker Thibault Klidjé was delighted after he opened his league goalscoring account at Easter Road.
Klidjé opened the scoring in the first half in what was a tremendous team performance from start to finish as the Hibs swept aside Livingston 4-0.
The Togo international then won the penalty – which Jamie McGrath slotted home – before Junior Hoilett added a brace late on.
Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Klidjé admitted he was delighted to score his first league goal and celebrate in front of the home fans at Easter Road.
“This result was very important for us today, and to keep a clean sheet and to move up the table.
“It was great to score in front of our own fans and the goal has certainly helped push me and give me more confidence for the next game.”
Klidjé had to be patient, featuring mainly from the bench in recent weeks, but he certainly made his mark on today’s match – playing with great energy and intensity from the start.
“Today, I followed the plan of the coach – he spoke to me before the game and told me that he wanted something from me today. I followed his gameplan, he helped motivate and encouraged me to get in the game more and thankfully, I did that.
“I am enjoying life a lot, Edinburgh is a big city, and everything is good in the dressing room. I am in a good moment and ready to keep contributing to the Club.”
The Hibs forward is now hoping to use this game as a platform to build from and is eager to keep helping the team.
“We’re all working hard to do our best, we are pushing each other to make sure we keep moving forward. I think we will be okay from today moving forward.”
