Livingston boss David Martindale conceded that a point from their William Hill Premiership clash at Tannadice with Dundee United was probably a fair result for both teams.
The 1-1 scoreline does, however, mean that The Lions are winless in seven games.
Steve Pittman netted from close-in after good work from Stevie May who robbed a defender, near the end of the first session with Krisztian Keresztes levelling three minutes into the second session.
Martindale (pictured) told BBC Sport Scotland: “First half, we were very, very good. Second half, Dundee United kind of pinned us in a wee bit.”
He argued that his squad could have improved their counter-attack but added: “The home team changing their shape is testament to us.”
Jim Goodwin, United’s manager, said: “We started a little bit slow and it is another horrendous goal against, a really poor mistake.
“We had 19 or 20 attempts on goal and just could not find the winner. It’s probably a better point for Livingston than ourselves. A major disappointment.”
