Fife Flyers opened their Elite League campaign with a disappointing 6-1 defeat at Manchester Storm.
Garet Hunt fired home on the power play after 32min 24sec to bring the scoreline back to 4-1 and the goal was set up by Keaton Jamieson.
Two goals in 27, first-period seconds, put Fife on the back foot and they outshot the visitors 35-30 over the 60 minutes.
Storm took the lead after 19min 12sec when Brandon Cutler fired the puck past Shane Owen to open the scoring and it was 2-0 at 19min 39sec when Brady Gilmour netted.
Gilmour grabbed his second and Manchester’s third after 27min 29sec and it became 4-0 when J D Dudek scored after 28min 18sec.
Storm added to their tally at 47min 41sec when Cutler scored unassisted and Kaleb Ergang added a sixth at 52min 23sec.
