Two of Hearts B Team players have joined Stranraer, who are currently in ninth spot in Scottish League Two, on loan until January.
Matthew Gillies and Dom Plank have been regulars for Angus Beith this term and join Chris Aitken’s squad on a short-term loan.
Gillies featured in 29 games for the B Team last season with Plank playing in 30 matches and they could be in line for a debut on Saturday at home to Elgin City.
Beith said: “Stranraer were keen on both players and came to us. They feel they can improve their team.”
Furthermore, attacking midfielder, Gus Stevenson, has joined Montrose, who are eighth in Scottish League One, on a co-operation agreement. He has been a regular in Beith’s B team for the past two seasons.
Hearts said he is ready for a new challenge and Beith added: “Gus has been a shining light for us this season, a real consistent performer.”
