Roseburn Path is currently cordoned off between the footbridge at Roseburn Terrace up to Ravelston Dykes due to an ongoing incident and police are advising the public to use alternative routes.
It is understood that the Path was closed off by police officers last night.
Details of the incident have not been released at this time but a further statement is expected.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries in the Roseburn Path area of Edinburgh in connection with an ongoing investigation.
“There is no threat to the wider public.”
An updated statement read: “Please be aware that Roseburn Path between the footbridge at Roseburn Terrace up to Ravelston Dykes is currently closed to the public due to an ongoing Police incident.
“Please use alternative routes.”
