A crane has collapsed Stead’s Place, just off Leith Walk on Tuesday morning. The broken arm appears to have hit the new flats under construction.

The site is being developed by Drum Property Group with 110 build to rent flats on the 2.9-acre site behind the red sandstone building which fronts Leith Walk and which are planned for occupancy in spring next year.

The Edinburgh Reporter has asked Drum for comment on the incident.
