A reception was held at The Scottish Parliament on Tuesday on behalf of The Scottish Indian Arts Forum (SIAF) just before their flagship celebration of the festival of Dusherra which takes place on Calton Hill on Sunday 29 October. 

The reception was hosted by Foysol Choudhury, MBE, MSP, and a keynote address was delivered by Ms. Christina McKelvie, Minister for Culture, Europe and International Development.

The Consul General of India, Mr.Bijay Selvaraj and Professor Sir Geoff Palmer, OBE, also addressed those gathered at the reception.

Several MSPs attended enjoying the entertainment staged during the event and were joined by guests from the community and members of SIAF.
