Hibs’ goalkeeper Ofir ‘Rocky’ Marciano has been named in the SPFL team of the week after his outstanding performance in Hibs 2-2 draw with Rangers on Sunday.

‘Rocky’ has been in top form since the start of the season and his form has been a major factor in Hibs’ successful start to the campaign.

Up until the Rangers game he had yet to concede a goal from open play in seven games which caught the eye of the Israel manager Willi Ruttensteiner and he was selected to play against Scotland in the opening fixture of this season’s Nation’s League at Hampden Park.

On Sunday he demonstrated his class with a tremendous double to deny Scott Arfield and secure the share of the points. When asked about it after the game he told Hibernian TV: “It was pure instinct, to be big and get up as fast as I can and try to cover as much as I can. I’m happy to have a good contact with the ball and managed to save it.”

The team was selected by Craig Fowler from BBC Scotland’s ‘A View From the Terrace’.

The full teams was as follows:

 Ofir Marciano (Hibernian)

Coll Donaldson (Ross County)

Alex Iacovitti (Ross County)

Bevis Mugabe (Motherwell)

Scott Arfield (Rangers)

Allan Campbell (Motherwell)

Aaron Tshibola (Kilmarnock)

Callum McGregor (Celtic)

Greg Kiltie (Kilmarnock)

Adrian Sporle (Dundee United)

Ryan Christie (Celtic)
