Police are growing concerned for the welfare of a 45-year old woman who has been missing since Saturday.
Claire Parkes was last seen yesterday afternoon in the Nevis Gardens area of Ladywood, Penicuik and  anyone who may have seen or heard from her is urged to contact the police.
She is described as a dark haired white Scottish woman with a local accent and was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, pink top and grey/blue tracksuit bottoms.
Claire has links to Edinburgh and Newcastle and may have travelled to either of these areas by bus, taxi or train.
Anyone who may have seen Claire, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2798 of 22/08/202
