Police are appealing for help from members of the public to trace an elderly woman who has been reported missing in Edinburgh.

Christine Scott (76) has dementia and left her home in Polwarth Gardens to walk her dog around 8.30am this morning.

She had arranged to meet her daughter back at her house at 9.30am but did not return.

Christine is described as white, 5 ft 5in tall, with grey hair in a bob style. She is believed to be wearing a blue fleece style zipper and a grey or blue woolly hat.

Her dog is a white and grey Cockapoo with a red lead and harness.

Inspector Caroline Flynn from Drylaw Police Office said: “Christine has dementia and her family are extremely concerned about her.

“I would urge members of the public to please look out for her in the Edinburgh area and report any sightings to the police.

“Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 1056 of Monday 24 August 2020.”
