The government guidance is to stay home. But you are allowed to go out for exercise once a day if you stay local.
The other reasons include necessary food shopping, medical reasons and travelling to work if you can’t work at home.
This means that when Live Edinburgh News visited Portobello earlier today (and before you ask – yes a press pass allows journalists to visit areas outwith their own local space) the beach was very quiet indeed.
