Christmas in Edinburgh has finally got up and running. The shops are all ready and willing, the Christmas Market – after a few teething troubles – is bustling with visitors and doing a roaring trade and everything is set to go for the 25th December.

We thought we’d do a quick visit to see what was happening and managed to persuade a couple of, more-or-less, willing volunteers to provide a touch of human interest and to save bothering members of the actual public…

So thanks to Linlithgow’s Hannah and Megan Dickson for braving the chill wind and helping out. And puting up with having to look at some of the exclusive shops along George Street…

Thanks also to the guys at Corner Shop PR for sorting out a letter of authorisation for photographing in the Market. We didn’t need it, but you never know…
