Extinction Rebellion have taken to the streets of the capital this morning in the run up to Clean Air Day later this week.
They were closely accompanied by Police Scotland who also had a helicopter flying overhead the city centre as the protesters went down the Royal Mile to Holyrood where they have set up camp.
