A youth football club in East Lothian is to benefit from a three-year sponsorship deal with Volvo Cars Edinburgh.

Tranent Colts FC, founded in 1996, will be provided with new strips following the deal with Volvo. Tranent has players across a variety of age groups including girls’ football, walking football and para-football.

Phil Purves, Chairperson at Tranent Colts Football Club, said: “We are thrilled to be sponsored by Volvo Cars Edinburgh and to receive new strips – the squads are really pleased and look very smart.”

“All of our players deserve to feel a sense of pride when they step out on the football pitch, and wearing a new shirt will help with this.”

Bryan Muir, Dealer Principal at Volvo Cars Edinburgh, added: “We are proud to invest in a grass-roots football club that is an invaluable part of the local community, and are looking forward to working with Tranent Colts Football Club over the coming years.

“The club’s dedication is fantastic, and it’s great to see the enthusiasm of all of the team members. The strips look brilliant, and we can’t wait to see how the teams perform in future matches.”
