Fabrizio Ricci claimed a treble as Dundee Stars skated to a 6-3 win at play-off rivals Sheffield Steelers.

Stars other marksmen were Drydn Dow, Matt Marquardt and Francois Bouchard.

The Scots were 2-0 and 3-1 ahead before Steelers levelled after 43 minutes but Stars scored three unanswered, third-period goals to secure the welcome win.

Fife Flyers were boosted by a 6-5 victory at bottom club Milton Keynes Lightning.

Joe Basaraba claimed the game-winner 2min 54sec into sudden death overtime in a tight game.

Flyers led 1-0 but then went 2-1 down only to hit three unanswered goals for a 4-2 lead.

The home side levelled after 47 minutes and Fife went 5-4 ahead only three minutes later.

Lightning equalised again with 28 seconds left but Basaraba’s goal settled the issue.

Matt Haywood scored a double for Glasgow Clan but Cardiff Devils, the league and play-off champions, secured a 4-2 win at Braehead.

Sunday’s fixtures see Dundee entertaining Sheffield (5pm) while Glasgow host Milton Keynes (4pm) and Fife Flyers are at Manchester Storm (5.30pm).
