Eddie May and Grant Murray will take charge of the Hibs team this afternoon following the suspensions of Neil Lennon and Garry Parker on Friday.

Hibs face a difficult trip to Paisley where they meet St Mirren.

Reports suggest that there is no way back for Lennon and Murray and the club are looking for a new managerial team.

May was a popular midfielder with Hibs during the late 1980s, making over 100 appearances for the club and scoring memorable winning goals against Celtic and Hearts.

Murray previously enjoyed a successful spell as Raith Rovers manager between 2012 and 2015.

A club statement read: Hibernian FC can confirm that Eddie May, Head of Academy Coaching, and Grant Murray, Assistant Coach, will take charge of the first team for Sunday’s Ladbrokes Premiership game against St Mirren.

Eddie and Grant, who both have experience of first team management, have worked closely with the first team as part of the matchday coaching staff. The full focus of the Club is on the trip to Paisley.
