Charity Guide Dogs is appealing for volunteers to get involved in its new fundraising groups being launched in Edinburgh.

The charity is currently hosting tea parties in the city, where people can find out more.

Community Fundraiser Anne Rowse said, “We are inviting locals to our events where they can find out more about volunteering opportunities over tea and biscuits. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.

“Our new groups, based in Corstorphine, Leith and Morningside, will get together to organise local fundraising and social events. Joining is a great way of making new friends and doing something worthwhile.

“The money raised through by the groups is essential in helping the visually impaired community with a life-changing partnership like one of our guide dogs.”

The tea parties will be held at Leith Rugby Club on 30 November from 5-7pm, Morningside Library on 1 December from 10.30am-12.30pm and The Torfin Bar in Corstorphine on 11 December from 10am-12pm.
