Graham Moodie will this weekend urge his new-look side to build on last Sunday’s sensational 6-3 road win at dethroned Division One champions Kelburne.

They students entertain early-season pace-setters Hillhead at Peffermill on Saturday (4pm) and they are unbeaten.

Moodie’s men sit proudly in second-top spot in the ten-strong league with seven points from three fixtures.

They have scored an impressive 15 goals and let in five while Hillhead, who have won two and drawn two fixtures, have eight points.

The Glasgow combine have scored 17 goals and also let in five so the stage is set for an entertaining tussle (push-off 4pm).

Western Wildcats, who led 2-0 at Grange last Saturday before been squeezed out 3-2, have slipped to seventh position despite having a win over Kelburne in their locker.

They have, however, only played two games and they entertain newly-promoted Watsonians at Auchenhowie (15.30).

Watsonians are eighth with two points from four games and they have a goal difference of minus four having scored eight goals and let in 12.

Ninth-placed Kelburne entertain Uddingston, who are sixth, and will look to pick up their first points of the season (push-off 13.30).

The only other game sees pointless bottom-markers Aberdeen Standard hosting fourth-placed Clydesdale (15.30).
