Hibs’ skipper David Gray is anticipating a tough game against bottom of the table Dundee at Dens Park this afternoon.

Neil McCann’s side have lost their opening five games and many believe that his future could rest on today’s result.

Gray expects the Dundee players to respond accordingly but he believes that Hibs have the players to return south with the three points.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, fans’ favourite said: “I think Dundee have had a bit of a tough run. they have lost their first five games so I’m pretty sure they are going to be coming out all guns blazing to get that first win.

“We know what to expect. We have been well drilled all week and we are fully expecting a really tough game.

“It’s important to start the game well. A few times we have been slow out of the blocks but in games we have taken the lead we can really push on and try to get the result.

“We have players who can hurt people.”

Gray scored Hibs’ second against Kilmarnock in last weekend’s victory, his fourth of the season but the captain would rather have clean sheets that see his name on the score sheet.

He continued: “We worked on the set pieces at the weekend, which was great and when it comes off itā€™s brilliant.

ā€œIt helps when youā€™ve got somebody like Stevie [Mallan]. If you can get away from your man youā€™ve got a right good chance of getting on the ball, because his deliveries are always really good. Itā€™s great to have somebody like that in the team.

ā€œ Iā€™d swap one at the weekend for a clean sheet though.

ā€œI think we need to try and tighten up on that front. Iā€™m enjoying being back fit and back playing which is the most important thing.

ā€œI went about 12 seasons without scoring I think but Iā€™m enjoying getting in to these positions and thankfully theyā€™re going in at the minute. Long may that continue.
